9bit Robot announced today a new publishing partnership with HAMMERSDEV, the independent developer behind Sinerunner and Bobby Is Home, both scheduled for release with 9bit Robot soon.

HAMMERSDEV, led by Christian Hammers, has quickly become one of the most talked about new creators in the Atari 2600 space. After starting development for the platform last year, he released three games, including SuperRio, and has already received eight award nominations spanning all three titles. It is a rare pace, and it has made him a new name to watch.

“Christian has that perfect mix we look for,” said Ed Mello of 9bit Robot. “He respects the Atari feel, but he also pushes hard on presentation and polish. When you play his games, you can tell he is not here to dabble. He is here to raise the bar.”
